"I have had the pleasure of reading through my copy of Stafford
World, newly arrived from South Africa and available from Liz
Stanway on 01706 873838, it really is an excellent book. Juanita Hobbs
does a superb job with this book, it covers the Stafford all over the
world and it is an optimum reference for all students of the breed."

"I got my Stafford World yesterday and immediately
sat down and looked through it (my son was napping - hooray!). I have
not had time to read anything yet but the pictures and the layout are
terrific! The dogs look great and I just can't absorb enough of them.
I am looking forward to my trip to NM next week to show my Gordon because
I will have a lot of time during the day to browse the articles and stats
included. Terrific layout of pics on my flyball article, Juanita! You
are truly a genius. I love the Calendar! It is already sitting
atop my computer. The best thing about it is that once the year is done
(or each month for that matter), I have all the dogs on handy little cards
that I can carry with me. What a great idea, Juanita! I always have too
many calendars for my wall and this is a really original idea for a calendar."

"Canine
Chronicle"
~ South Africa :
"Bigger yet than the 2000 edition, Stafford World goes
from strength to strength. It now represents the progress of Staffordshire
Bull Terriers in nine countries, in glossy A4 format over 243 pages. Breed
aficionados have an unequalled reference book on the breed for the year
under review. It is packed with statistical information including show
results, judges results, stud dogs and brood bitches, puppies registered,
obedience results and more. The book is well-supported by breed advertisers
and all information is categorised by country. There are several articles
of breed and general interest from the various countries represented,
which illustrate the commitment to the breed by those involved. A book
this comprehensive is an extraordinary undertakiing and has become a vital
and important feature in the Stafford calendar. It is a book for every
Stafford owner, as well as anyone having an interest in the breed. Also!
The Stafford World Calendar - with all dates needed by Staffie
owners globally - presented in a CD cover which forms a desk stand."

"Oh boy Juanita has out done herself - the Stafford World
is fabulous. It is the book of books on SBT's. You do not want to wait
for your copies. The ads are all wonderful - hard to say which one I like
best. Her calendar is a CD desk top this time and done so cool. Well I
must get the advertisers copies ready so I can get back to reading it.
Stafford World 2001 - the best ever."

Pringle ~ Dog World ~ United Kingdom
:
"The new Stafford World book arrived from Juanita Hobbs in South
Africa. Very attractive cover, lots and lots of photos. The book is teeming
with information from all over the world on Staffords. Will write more
when I have had a really good read of it. With the book came the calendar
for 2003, quite a new idea with many photos for each month in an original
cover which can be made to stand up on a desk or anywhere you may care
to place it. Get in touch with Liz Stanway over here to view or purchase
either, tel. 01706 873838. With the search coming up now for Xmas presents,
the calendar from South Africa, at £5 plus p&p makes an ideal
present. Staffords from all over the world on it, and a stand up back
to make notes on. From Juanita Hobbs also comes the 2001 Stafford World,
a large, well illustrated book of 243 pages, dedicated to Sally - an appealing
photo of her appears at the beginning. Juanita gives Sallys sad
history, for she has hip dysplasia. You must read of how there are days
when Sally is in pain and cannot walk, yet on good days she is a bundle
of fun and an excellent mover. Juanita gives Sallys story in the
hope that everyone in Staffords will be more honest, and that hereditary
diseases will be faced up to. So this is the start of a book filled with
all kinds of facts and figures on Staffords from all over the world, with
photos on almost every page, some serious, some amusing. There are articles
from personalities of the nine countries represented in the book
Australia, Belgium, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa,
U.K. and USA. Also pictures and information about show dogs, pet dogs,
dogs performing in agility, fly ball, obedience, and on almost anything
a Stafford can do. See Liz Stanway at the shows or ring her on 01706 873838
to obtain the book and calendar. Book £l6 plus p&p."
Michael
R Darwin ~ Kennel
Union of Southern Africa ~ South Africa :
"Thank you for sending us a copy each of the Stafford World
2001 and the 2003 Calendar for review. To misquote
Emile Coué 'In every year and every way they gets better and better',
so much so that it is difficult to find anything to write which does not
sound as though a review has been paid for! I was really impressed with
'Tenacity' and wish that people who breed any breed of dog could
not only have the opportunity of reading your words but actually let them
sink in and do something. The various statistics you have produced are
very impressive as ever. The CD Calendar is a very good
idea but whether people will prefer this to the wall type I do not know.
I was much impressed by your using the inside back cover for the various
public holidays. I am probably being a bit critical but the colour went
a bit odd in a couple of months, particularly October (Taurbeck Sam Brown
has a most peculiar coloured coat). Again, congratulations."

"Evaredee" ~ England :
"Another great publication for your bookshelf, Stafford World
produced by Juanita Hobbs. Each edition gets better and better; news from
every corner of the globe. 241 pages packed with wonderful photographs,
statistics and features. Contributors to the publication also deserve
much praise for their time, effort and diligence. Glenn Consadine "Mosstrooper"
gives an excellent overview of happenings in Australia during 2001. Liz
Stanway contributes United Kingdom statistics and Gerry Brown for Ireland.
Dave Levy, Kennel Club SBT Liaison Officer poses the question - Will
there be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier in 2025? I certainly hope
so - unfortunately, I will not be around to verify one way or the other!
Statistics cover everything you could possibly need in gleaning information
to determine every aspect of the SBT."

"I like a calendar to hang on the wall. I think these are going to
get knocked over and think that maybe if they were spiral-ringed together
and then made to stand up they would be better. My vote is for the old
calendar in a more compact size!"

"Well what can we say you have excelled yourself once again. These
books are a MUST for all serious Stafford people through out the world.
Well presented and interesting articles and the advertisements show the
dogs available around the world. The CD Calendars are lovely
and we cant wait to for 2003 to come, so we can use it, LOL! Well done
and we look forward to receiving and advertising in the 2002 edition."
Sandi
Consadine ~ "Mosstrooper" ~
Australia :
"My verdict?? - SENSATIONAL!!! You've done it again - really, really
super. Glenn gave you a score of 15 out of 10 so it MUST be good!!! Luckily,
we have more than one to look at or there would be strife. The red coat/cover
looks magic too. The CD Calendar is a good size and easy
to organise - I like it a lot. Everyone thinks that you have exceeded
yourself with this issue! It was funny, looking around the grounds and
seeing them all engrossed in their Stafford World's!! Andrina
has put into words what undoubtedly everyone will think."

"South Africa's "The Stafford World 2001"
by Juanita Hobbs exceeds all standards for Stafford publications everywhere,
making it a must-have book for any serious Stafford fancier anywhere on
the planet. Its combination of world-wide coverage by country, amplitude
of photos, hard-sense editorials, and articles from regional personalities
provide caviar as well as meat-and-potatoes. Hard-bound in 8 1/2-by-12
(inch) format on high-quality glossy paper, its 243 pages exude professionalism
in design, layout, and typography. It features hundreds of photos of winning
2001 show dogs and enough statistics to satisfy all but the most rabid.
The attention to detail alone would serve as an prototype for a university
class in book-making. In size, quality, and finish, it is nothing short
of a Herculean effort crowned by great success. For each of Juanita's
annuals, I have had the great good fortune of being able to contribute
a brief article and can say without qualification that I am most proud
to be associated with such an outstanding publication."
Wanda

"Thank you Juanita for taking on this project every year. Such hard
work and dedication to this breed. Wonderful way to see Staffords from

Yvonne

Scotland :
"I have just received my first ever copy of Stafford World
and to say I am impressed is an understatement. The quality of this publication
is superb. It contains many clear photos and adverts of some beautiful
Staffies, not to mention Max and Dani in their fancy dress pictures. Needless
to say, no work has been done in my house this morning as I have spent
my time sitting down with a mug of coffee and my copy of Stafford
World 2001. Well done Juanita!"
